Working together

Last weekend I attended a zoom Leadership Round-table with other women leaders from around the world. It was a great time, where we discussed that this is a season to focus and to collaborate. At YWAM Hollywood we love to collaborate! I have found that one of the best ways to fulfill your personal destiny is to help others fulfill theirs. By working on each other’s projects we can advance the Kingdom of God together. Many have asked how they might be involved with all we are doing at YWAM Hollywood.

If you would like to volunteer to work on projects with YWAM Hollywood you can do so from the comfort of your own home. Our base is global and mobile. That means that we don’t have a location where we all live. Instead, all of us live in different locations around the world and are working together virtually – volunteering our time – to disciple the nations through arts, media, entertainment, and training. We have found that we can work on projects for Jesus by volunteering together virtually.

We are always interested in seeing how we can help you to be all you were created to be as we disciple the nations together. To explore how you can volunteer to help with our online schools, or other projects from your location, just reply to this email and let us know how you would like to help. We are working on developing more classes for our curriculum for training on-line, and we are always looking for ways to add more free arts and media resources to our resource center.

How the Lord Teaches Us

There are many great ways that the Lord teaches us. One way is to share the truths of God on the internet. We want to help you do that! SO, our January 2022 Free Gift for you from YWAM Hollywood is this free graphic, and letting you know about all the great resources that are FREE for you to use on your websites or social media.

We created our YWAM Hollywood Media Resource Center to provide content that you, and your ministry, can use to further the Kingdom of God. Most of the resources are free! Several volunteers from around the world have worked with us to create free content available for you in our YWAM Hollywood Media Resource Center on our website. One of those volunteers is Sophia, from Hong Kong. This is one example of an original Scripture typography graphics of Isaiah 48:17, created by Sophia, volunteering from Hong Kong, that you can use for FREE on your website or on your social media posts.

Take a break

And by the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on that day He rested from all His work. Genesis 2:2

Some days we just need to take a break from it all. We need to find a few minutes to do something to do that we love and let the rest of the world go on without us.

One of the things I like to do to relax when I have a few moments, is color. Yes, really. We’ve created lots of coloring books for adults that help you to relax and reconnect to your creative side.

Another thing I like to do, is to do a word search puzzle. So, this month our free gift is a YWAM Hollywood word search puzzle that we created just for you!

Just go to your Superstar Members page and you can print it out and then find the words. You can take your time, or you can try to see how quickly you can find all the words in the puzzle. It’s your game to play as you wish. Words can be found going in any direction: Up, down, forwards, backward, diagonal…

We also have a second free gift this month! You can also print out a free page from one of Destiny Center’s coloring books on your Superstar Members page. You can order the coloring books at DestinyCenter.com. A portion of your purchase is donated to YWAM Hollywood.

Free Worship Workshop

When I was working at the School of Music Ministries International I was blessed to work with, and become good friends with, many wonderful musicians and worship leaders from around the world. Paul Baloche and his wife, Rita, are two of those. They worked with us in several schools, and they also led worship at our local church in East Texas.

Go For Gold Kids Books

A few weeks ago, my nephew sent me a video about how to publish kids ebooks on Kindle. I already have over 50 books that I have written available on Amazon, but only a few are available as ebooks on Kindle.

But, his email got me thinking…

A few years ago I was honored to go with YWAM to our Olympic outreach in Australia. I was part of the Media team interviewing Christian athletes for a documentary. I can’t go to the Olympic outreach this year, but maybe I can still create some content that encourages kids to do their best, and to know that prayer works. I decided to write and publish a few new kids ebooks about athletes going for gold medals, just in time for the Olympics.

I have three new kids e-books out for the Olympics, available on Amazon. They are published under the Destiny Center name, which is one of my publishing companies. These are “picture books” for little kids, from baby on up to about age 10.
