Well, I found out what the brown spots were in our yard, that I have been mowing over all year. It is a particularly gnarly type of weed, with beautiful tiny purple flowers. They were brown all summer, and just started getting green leaves, and blooming the little flowers, now that we got some rain, and it’s a bit cooler.
Mom said there was a write up in the paper about them last weekend. She pointed them out to me yesterday, and taught me how to pull them out. You have to gather up all the little ‘branches’, and then twist the plant, as you pull it, to get the entire root out. Because, of course, if you don’t get the root out, it will just come back again.

I pulled five grocery bags of the wiry weeds this morning from our front yard!

You see, life has been happening… and the weeds in the yard have not been pulled, and the yard not tended to… SO, now we have weeds everywhere. Five bags full…

Kind of like our lives can get…

We are busy. Life is happening. Many things are demanding all of our attention, and keeping our focus.

So, we don’t tend to our gardens – the gardens of our hearts and our soul. Weeds grow up. And, we just mow right over them, and keep going.

But, the problem is, the weeds in the yard, will choke out all of the grass we are trying to grow. Just like mowing over our issues, can choke out all of the joy in our lives.

And, it’s not just enough to read about how to deal with your issues, like Mom read in the newspaper about the weeds. You have to get out there, put your back into it, give it your full attention, and pull the weeds out from the root.

We have to do the same in our lives. We need to identify the issues in our lives, and discover why they continue to be problems for us. We must find the root cause of the issues, and get rid of them.

That’s what the book “Master Your Mind! Rebuild Your Brain!” is all about. How to identify our issues, discover the root cause, and rid them from our lives – once and for all.

It is a new season. It’s time to deal with the things in your life.

Get the book. Read it. And, then do what it says!

Pull those weeds up from the root!
